Unlock your potential. Let's embark on this journey together!
Your first session is about getting to know you—your goals, challenges, and what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your history, explore what you're hoping to achieve, and begin creating a plan tailored to your needs.
Expect a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we’ll navigate the ups and downs—finding moments of laughter, insight, and growth along the way.
Sessions typically last 50-60 minutes, but time flies when you're having fun!
The frequency of sessions depends on your needs and goals. Many clients start with weekly sessions and adjust as they progress.
Therapy is a personal journey, and the timeline varies. Some clients see progress in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support.
I work with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and limiting beliefs. My approach is adaptable, using EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and other techniques to support your unique needs and help you create meaningful change.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy designed to help process and heal from distressing experiences. It works by using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess painful memories in a way that reduces their emotional intensity. Instead of feeling stuck in the past, EMDR helps you move forward with new perspectives, making difficult experiences feel less overwhelming. It's especially effective for trauma, anxiety, and negative self-beliefs, allowing you to break free from patterns that no longer serve you.
Yes! Sometimes, life events that society chalks up to 'just being a kid' or a normal experience can actually shape deep-seated beliefs/low self-esteem such as (but not limited to) I’m not good enough, I should have done something, I’m not safe, or I’m powerless. In response, we adapt to survive in various ways—this can manifest as avoiding, staying in control, seeking relationships that don’t serve us, or other patterns that once felt protective but now hold us back. EMDR uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess these experiences, reducing their emotional intensity. Instead of feeling stuck in the past, EMDR helps you break free from unhelpful patterns, gain new perspectives, and move forward in a way that feels more authentic and empowering.
